Book Meme//WWW Wednesday #7 … November is over?

November is gone. We are one month closer to 2017. I’m both happy and sad, I’ll miss 2016 so many wonderful things happened. But I’m mostly happy 😊 How are you guys? What are you reading? Share please I’m dying to know ❤

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading Northern lights by Philip Pullman which was a highly recommended book by a friend. I’ve never heard of it till now so it’s totally new. There are a lot of  praising reviews I just hope it’s not a flop.

Northern Lights

img_9513When Lyra’s friend Roger disappears, she and her dæmon, Pantalaimon, determine to find him.

The ensuing quest leads them to the bleak splendour of the North, where armoured bears rule the ice and witch-queens fly through the frozen skies – and where a team of scientists is conducting experiments too horrible to be spoken about.

Lyra overcomes these strange terrors, only to find something yet more perilous waiting for her – something with consequences which may even reach beyond the Northern Lights…

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently read Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard which was acceptable but it wasn’t as good as Red Queen and I was very disappointed to be honest.

Glass Sword

img_9431If there’s one thing Mare Barrow knows, it’s that she’s different.

Mare Barrow’s blood is red—the color of common folk—but her Silver ability, the power to control lightning, has turned her into a weapon that the royal court tries to control.

The crown calls her an impossibility, a fake, but as she makes her escape from Maven, the prince—the friend—who betrayed her, Mare uncovers something startling: she is not the only one of her kind.

Pursued by Maven, now a vindictive king, Mare sets out to find and recruit other Red-and-Silver fighters to join in the struggle against her oppressors.

But Mare finds herself on a deadly path, at risk of becoming exactly the kind of monster she is trying to defeat.

Will she shatter under the weight of the lives that are the cost of rebellion? Or have treachery and betrayal hardened her forever?

The electrifying next installment in the Red Queen series escalates the struggle between the growing rebel army and the blood-segregated world they’ve always known—and pits Mare against the darkness that has grown in her soul

What do you think you’ll read next?

Againn I’m never sure of what comes next I have a stack of library books and newly bought books to read. If I really enjoy Northern lights I’ll probably read the second book Subtle Knife by Philip Pullman. That is logical but you can’t  be sure with me.

Subtle Knife

The most magnificent fantasy series since The Lord of the Rings.” — The Oregonian

Lost in a new world, Lyra finds Will—a boy on the run, a murderer—a worthy and welcome ally. For this is a world where soul-eating Specters stalk the streets and witches share the skies with troops of angels.

Each is searching—Lyra for the meaning of Dark Matter, Will for his missing father—but what they find instead is a deadly secret, a knife of untold power. And neither Lyra nor Will suspects how tightly their lives, their loves, and their destinies are bound together… until they are split apart.
